"I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this State Farm agent (Jos). He contacted me asking if I wanted an insurance policy and addressed me by the wrong name (“Mr. Riggins”). Despite that, he proceeded without properly verifying my identity—no ID, no date of birth, no basic confirmation. I agreed to a $194 policy, but when the paperwork was sent over, I realized the policy was not even in my name—it was in my brother’s name. I immediately called back within minutes to cancel the policy. Even though I canceled right away, the $194 charge still went through. Since then, I’ve been calling for over a week trying to get my refund, and every single day I’m told something different: – “It’s being mailed” – “You’ll get it in 48 hours” – “You’ll get it in 24 hours” Yet I still have not received my money. What’s even more concerning is the lack of accountability and communication. The agent has stopped responding, and no one seems to take this situation seriously. For a major company like State Farm, this level of negligence—failing to verify identity and mishandling payments—is unacceptable. This has caused unnecessary stress, especially during a difficult time. I would strongly caution others to double-check everything and be careful when dealing with this office. I have never experienced anything like this before, and I am extremely disappointed in how this has been handled."
